Types of Electric Cables

Stranded Cable (Single and Multi-Core)
Stranded cables are flexible cables made up of several coated copper wires. They are used for mobile devices and equipment, and their length should be kept short. For example, stranded cables are used in industrial outlets and home wiring.
Coaxial Cables
Coaxial cables are used for data and signal transmission in telecommunications networks and similar environments. Another name for coaxial cables is "coaxial." A coaxial cable consists of an inner conductor covered with a polyethylene insulating layer and a braided copper layer over the insulation, which is referred to as the screen. This entire assembly is covered with a polymer sheath made of PVC. Examples of the applications for this cable include receivers, transmitters, computers, radio communications, and television.
NYY Power Cable
The NYY power cable is the most common type of cable used in buildings and industries. The conductor of these cables can be solid, semi-stranded, or stranded. PVC-E is used for insulation, and PVC ST1 is used for the sheath. The NYY cable can be used in trays, ducts, and conduits. These cables should not be subjected to mechanical impact; therefore, if there is a risk of such impacts, they should be protected with armor and tape.
NYCY Cable
The NYCY cable is a European insulated cable. The sheath of this electrical cable is made of PVC, and it is used for wiring in indoor and outdoor environments, in conduits, ducts, plaster, brick, and also underground. This type of cable is employed in industrial factories, local power distribution networks, and power plants.
Shielded Stranded Cable
This type of cable is used to prevent electrical interference and signal noise. In this type of cable, a protective layer called a shield is applied over the cable.
